Our neighbors gave Ellery this pool and a sandbox that their daughter grew out of. Once we got the hose water warmed up she absolutely loved it! Nola also loved it as it doubled as a large water bowl.
Ellery and I spent our Saturday at the zoo! Zach was invited to play in a golf tournament and although we missed having him with us, it was a perfect day!...
Mmmwaaaa!! Elle was blowing kisses to this guy...
"Do you believe this? So cool!"...
When this peacock fanned out its feathers I overheard this little girl ask her mom why it did that. Her mommy replied "probably to impress a female". The little girl then said "yeah, he wants to get pregnant!" :)
We ended our day on the train in Balboa Park. Could not wipe the smile from her face...
Well until the tunnel approached. Then the smile faded and her eyes got real big. Once the sun hit her face it was all good...
She's becoming more and more comfortable on her feet. Up to 10 steps now!!
Ellery's new buddies, Poppy...

Supporting Fuerte Elementary with Cousin Jordan...
Grandma Kathy got her this baby doll who's eyes open and close. She enjoys putting her baby to bed and then to wake her up she grabs her by the face and sticks her fingers in her eyes to open them. When she's done playing with her baby she throws it on the floor. I'm thinking she's not ready for a sibling. And that's okay with us. We get asked frequently when we'll have another and we agree that waiting a bit would be nice. I'm enjoying Elle so much right now, I'm not up for sharing my time. Yet...
I could just eat her up...
Jilly Bean...
And Claire, Ellery's BFF. I get a little choked up about the thought of not spending my days with the deMerlier's. It's been 8 years!! I love these kids as if they were my own and my upcoming departure is so bittersweet...
