A couple of days before Beck's birthday he peed and pooped in the potty AND said his first sentence! I was singing in the car and he says "No sing mama done!" Nice.
We got him a balance bike and I'm pretty sure he feels like the coolest kid on the block ...

Since Zach had never been to Yosemite we decided to go for Beck's birthday when the waterfalls are in their prime. We split up the 8 hour drive and spent the day at The California Science Center in LA. This place rocked! We were there all day and still didn't see everything...

Got into Fresno late, woke up, had breakfast, put on shower caps, danced in the mirror and hit the road again...
Beck's 2nd celebration was on his actual birthday, the day we arrived in Yosemite...

We were trying to make it to LA before we stopped driving for the day but after 4 hours we were all ready to run around. We were stoked to discover a miniature golf course across the street from our hotel in Bakersfield. It was the kids' first time playing and I laughed the entire time. Zach gave up trying to show them proper technique after the first 2 holes. Beck was thrilled to have a ball and a "bat"...
And Ellery just wanted to go inside this palace...

--- She's in a serious princess phase right now - Disney has done it again. At some point each day, she dresses up, situates random toys and pretend food into her "yuggage" (luggage), we ride into her castle (her room) on a carriage (her, Beck and myself in a single file line) and have a party for whichever princess is turning 4 that day.
The next day we got the heck out of Bakersfield and headed for Griffith Park in LA. Pony rides, train rides, wagon rides, playgrounds - doesn't get much better. Here's Ellery on Pumpkin...

A big month for firsts. Beck's first visit to the dentist. He did awesome...
I had a fabulous Mother's Day weekend. On Saturday Z and I went to my favorite restaurant and laughed til it hurt at the Comedy Store in La Jolla. And On Sunday I took Elle to see The Little Mermaid at the Young Actors Theater. Her first time to a play - or a thiddier (theater) as she calls it and her smile and eyes were so big. It was a really cute production but I had more fun watching her...
My little Elle is turning 4 next week! Busy making decorations for her Princess Party!...
