Fabulous February

I was planning on updating the blog this weekend but since Ellery is into her 3rd hour of napping (yep I said it, over 3 hours!!) I had the time to watch a movie that I've been meaning to see AND do a little blogging. I guess it's evident that she has gotten quite comfortable in her new bed. All last week she came to me before her usual nap time, laid her head onto her hand and said "ny ny". Each day I asked if she was tired and she replied "uh huh", ran to her room, crawled into bed and fell asleep. Crazy. Crazy good.

February is Museum Month in San Diego. Every museum in town is half price so Ellery and I explored a couple of them...

One station was set up to create your family on a totem. Here's Elle's masterpiece...

And the Natural History Museum...

Elle has been talking so much lately! She recently started putting 2 words together like "bye guy" (when the contractors leave) and "da-eee ka" (when Zach gets out of the car to close the gate and she wants him to get back in) and "mo peez". My favorite mini-sentence occurred at the playground... She calls slides and swings "weee!" and while we were out playing one day I asked her if she was ready to go. Her response, "no. mo weee!" :)

At their lizard and snake exhibit the snake below uncoiled itself and started heading towards it's own feces. Elle watched intently and finally said "no! poo poo!"...

And a day trip to the Wild Animal Park...

We signed Ellery up at Gymboree and she absolutely loves this place. However, we are only going to continue through March and call it quits for a while because they don't allow siblings to tag along. They ask that you sign up with the "sibling class" but there's no way I'm paying for an infant to go to gym class. I think we'll take a break and pick back up at the Y in a few months...
