4th of July

These lucky kids went to the fair not once but twice this year.  Once to see the deMerliers' (it was George's 14th birthday AND Claire performed) and daddy joined us the next time on the 4th...

He wasn't too sure about how high up we were...

4th of July...

Lovin' his new Batman Buddy...

Rian's 7th birthday party...

Celebrating 8 years of marriage.  Z surprised me with a night at Torrey Pines lodge...

Starting the day with a lovely hike to the Pacific...

Did I already post pics of our buns?  If not, introducing Beck's bun, Black Thorn Woody Race Car...

And Easter Funny Bunny Sparkle is in the background.  Imagine my chuckle when the vet asked what their names were...

Mr Jude!!!

We did a mud run in Orange County.  So dirty.  So fun.
Before...

After...

So we had to rinse off in Mark's amazing pool...

Science Center!...

Feelin' crafty...

Open gym craziness...

There's Easter!  Barbies got a new roommate...

Butterly Pavillion at the Water Conservation Garden...

Playdate with her BFF...

It was a bike/kayak kind of day...

The kids spruced up their fairy garden and guess what!?  Ellery found fairy dust all around!  We think a fairy has been sleeping there...

Happy Birthday Aidyn!...

So this didn't end well.  Dinner party at Rick and Carrie's and Beck, whom I considered water safe, fell off his raft near the pool light and his little arm couldn't reach the side where the wall is higher.  He panicked, we panicked and Zach had to jump in fully clothed to rescue him.  We were all shaken up and it was the next day I signed them back up for swim lessons.  Having them be not totally confident, strong swimmers is not an option...

Kids first time bowling!  The did great but I killed it...

Rain?  In the middle of Summer?  We'll take it!...

Sleepover with Jilly & Claire!...

My mom and I took the 4 little ones camping up on Palomar Mountain.  Exhausting.  Fun.  Dirty.  This is what the boys did most of the time...

And the sweet girls...

The bunny whisperer...

Ellery LOVES ice skating!  She wants to go at every opportunity and stay on the ice til they shut down.  She is enrolled in group and private lessons and just got her first pair of skates!  More pics to come but here she is with Miss Tiffany!...
