Ellery took her first trip to Disneyland to bring in her 3rd year. We left Beck with my mom and had an all-about-Ellery celebration. First up: Dumbo with daddy. She loved it and we moved on. Next up: Mr Toads Wild Ride. It was dark, fast, loud, slightly spooky and she freaked. Ellery is definitely a Small World kind of gal.

This sweet husky showed up at our gate and after we took him in, he took to us. Ellery and Dash (as it turns out) were friends from the start. We eventually found the owner and Ellery cried as Dash walked away. We miss him!...

I meant to include Beck's first words and such in my last post but was in a bit of a rush. And I am again. So without any frills -- His first word was "Dada". Second was "Mama" and third was "Ba"... used for ball and pretty much everything else. He used his first sign, "More" with Ellery when she was the Goldfish distributor. Beck is going through a throwing/whacking everything phase and it cannot end soon enough. Poor Ellery. She's started hitting back which tends to bring me back to my conflict-manager days in junior high. Zach comforted me with "only 15 more years of this." While I feel like a good portion of my day is saying "NO hitting!" to Beck then "You know better" to Ellery, there are moments like these that make everything better...
Until Beck pinches her and she pushes him. Ah, kids.
Come and get your moldy bread! And we didn't mean you Beck! I was able to get most of them out of his mouth...
